About Jacob

Jacob Sarabian, the son of a farmer with deep roots in Fresno, grew up immersed in the values of hard work and community that define the Central Valley. He left home to pursue his education, earning his law degree before honing his skills at a Chambers-ranked, nationally recognized litigation firm, where he handled complex, high-stakes cases across various industries and jurisdictions. Jacob’s training at an elite national law firm informs his approach to litigation: strategic, aggressive, relentlessly client focused, and results oriented.

Upon returning to Fresno, he joined a highly respected local law firm, becoming a partner within four years of graduating law school. This diverse experience—from his agricultural upbringing to his national litigation training—shape the firm’s core principles bringing tenacity and integrity with a commitment to serving the Central Valley and achieving results.

Jacob’s case successes include the following representative matters:

  • Alameda County Jury Trial (Landlord vs. Tenant): Represented a landlord seeking unpaid rent from the COVID-19 period. Overcame defenses of waiver and economic hardship, securing 100% of the requested amount, exceeding pre-trial settlement offers of less than 25%.
  • Fresno County Jury Trial (Developer vs. Subcontractor): Represented a local developer against a subcontractor’s claim for unpaid materials. Achieved a complete defense verdict and prevailed on a cross-complaint, obtaining attorney’s fees as the prevailing party. Pre-trial, the subcontractor’s offers required the developer to pay entirety of amount sought in the litigation.
  • Monterey County Jury Trial (Physician Defense): Defended a physician against claims of wrongful injury to timber and breach of CC&Rs. Secured a complete defense verdict, despite pre-trial settlement offers in the six-figure range.
  • California High-Speed Rail Authority Litigation: Represented a local businessman against a ten-cause-of-action complaint brought by High-Speed Rail seeking seven-figure damages. Prevailed on demurrer, resulting in a settlement with no appeal.
  • Public Records Act Court Trial: Prevailed in a court trial involving contested liability and extensive discovery against a public entity that wrongfully withheld records, securing a settlement with a six-figure attorney’s fee award.
  • Solar Loan: Represented consumer in action against a bank after solar company absconded with loan proceeds before completing the work. On the eve of trial, obtained a six-figure monetary payment to the client as well as cancelation of the underlying loan in full, allowing the consumer to keep the panels, repair her credit, and receive substantial damages for the mental anguish caused by the negligent disbursement.
  • Healthcare Litigation: Represented a doctor and employee of a Management Services Organization sued for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. Through aggressive early litigation, obtained a complete dismissal of the action and payment of all attorney’s fees incurred.
  • Elder Abuse Litigation: Represented a local businessman in civil action against the wife of his deceased son. After contested litigation, multi-day depositions, and extensive discovery, secured a settlement on the eve of trial for 100% of the disputed funds.
  • Habitability Dispute: Represented plaintiff-tenant in dispute with landlord over habitability concerns for her apartment in Los Angeles County. Secured a six-figure settlement through aggressive early litigation.
  • Attorney Defense Litigation: Represented an attorney against claims brought by opposing counsel, securing a complete dismissal with prejudice.
